Returnable Container System - RePlay Returnables

When you borrow a RePlay Returnables container, you validate your card. To avoid being charged, simply return the returnable container within 4 weeks by scanning the QR code on its base at the smart bin in store. If you return the container within 4 weeks, no money is taken from your card. If the returnable container is returned after 4 weeks, you will incur a charge of $3 per container. Should you return it late, but within 6 months, you will receive a partial refund. Refunds can only be processed back to the same card you used at the beginning, and cash refunds are not available. If your card payment doesn’t go through, we’ll perform a transaction lookup and try again.

To obtain a receipt for your RePlay Returnables, you will need the transaction number from your Visa or Mastercard credit/debit card statement. 

Note: Banks use proxy numbers on each device for tap transactions, so to perform a transaction lookup, make sure you use the same device and transaction method. For example, if you used your mobile phone at the deli counter, retrieve your transaction via this device, or if you used your Visa card, use that card to access your transaction details.

If you would like to receive a full list of your transactions for RePlay Returnables and reminders for future return dates of your returnable containers, you can enable this option in the app next time you borrow in-store by adding your email address for easy transaction lookup.
