Tap to RePlay System

Consumer Terms of Use

By borrowing a container through the Tap to RePlay system, you agree to the following terms. There is no need to sign anything; your use of the system means you accept these conditions.

About RePlay

RePlay is a returnable container system by packaging manufacturer Bonson Industrial Co. Limited (Bonson). RePlay provides a platform for borrowing reusable containers for takeaway food and drinks. The aim is to reduce waste by replacing single-use containers with reusable ones. When you use the system, you borrow a container from a vendor, use it, and return it to the RePlay smart bin so it can be reused by others.

Key Words

End User: You, the person borrowing and returning containers.

Container: The full set (container and lid) you borrow. You must return both parts.

Vendor: The vendor or business lending you the container.

Location: The place where you borrow or return the container.

Borrowing: Taking a container to use for a short time, planning to bring it back.

Returning: Bringing the container back after using it.

Application: The Tap to RePlay system at point of sale which the vendor uses and the End User engages with.

Notifications: Messages to remind you about returns.

Workflow

Borrowing

  1. When you want to borrow a container, the vendor will use the Tap to RePlay system to assist you.
  2. Each container has a unique QR code that will be scanned.
  3. You confirm the borrowing by tapping your credit card or connected device.
  4. You may provide your email address to receive reminders about returning the container.

Returning

  1. To return the container, the QR code must be scanned at the smart bin to remove the credit card hold and avoid being charged.
  2. You can return containers to any vendor in the network that offers the same type of container.
  3. You may request a receipt for your return.

Payment and Charges

  1. Bonson uses Stripe for all transaction processing.
  2. By accepting the terms and using RePlay, you authorise Bonson to transact charges and returns on your credit card account as described in these terms.
  3. When you borrow a container, Bonson will validate your card, create a user account for this transaction, and hold a token of these details for future use if needed. Bonson does not store your card details.
  4. If you return the container by the due date, no charge is made.
  5. If you do not return the container on time, you will be charged for it (Non-return charge)
  6. If you return it late but within an extended period, you may be eligible for a partial refund.
  7. Refunds are only made to the credit card originally used to borrow the container.
  8. If your card payment fails, we will retry and/or you must arrange payment by other means.
  9. Please note that cash refunds are not available.

Agency and Ownership

To comply with tax requirements, vendors act as agents for Bonson when you borrow or return containers. This means:

  1. Borrowing and returning containers is a transaction between you and Bonson.
  2. RePlay containers remain the property of Bonson.
  3. Vendors help facilitate the borrow and return process but are not directly responsible for the transaction.

Bonson, Again Again and the vendor are collaborating to offer this service. All may benefit financially from the provision of the service.

Notifications and Records

  1. If you provide your email, you will receive reminders by email before the container’s due date.
  2. If completed, your transactions will appear on your credit card statement.
  3. You can access more details about your transactions by visiting www.replayreturn.com.

Vendors and Containers

  1. Vendors participating in the RePlay system will clearly display information about borrowing and returning containers and will ensure containers are cleaned according to health standards.
  2. Containers may show signs of use, but will be sterilised after each use for the next customer.
  3. If you believe a container is unsuitable, please ask the vendor for a replacement.
  4. If you damage a container during your use, please return it to the smart bin so that we may manage the replacement/and or recycling.

Changes to These Terms

  1. Bonson may update these terms or pricing from time to time.
  2. Reasonable notice of significant changes will be provided.
  3. You may be required to accept updated terms within the Tap to RePlay system before continuing to use the system.

Your Responsibilities

  1. You agree to use containers only for transporting food and drinks.
  2. You must take good care of the containers and keep them clean.
  3. You are responsible for any damage or issues resulting from your use  of the containers or the Tap to RePlay system.

Privacy and Data

Bonson takes your privacy seriously. We use Stripe to handle your payment details safely and follow their privacy policy, https://stripe.com/nz/privacy as well as our own. Ending Your Use

  1. You may stop using the system at any time.
  2. If you have borrowed containers, this agreement will be valid until the return of the container(s) or until a transaction is processed for non-return.

Issues and Disputes

If you experience any problems, you can report them through the replayreturn.com website. Bonson will investigate and aim to resolve issues within seven days. If the issue remains unresolved, it may be referred to the Disputes Tribunal of New Zealand. All dispute discussions will be kept confidential.
